Guide · Checklist

What is included in cleaning help?

Here is the full checklist for a regular visit – room by room. And just as important: what is not included, so you know exactly what to expect.

Neatly folded towels in soft colours stacked on wooden shelves

At every visit – room by room

We follow a personal cleaning plan that we make together with you at the free check. The basis is the same in every home:

Kitchen

  • Worktop and hob cleaned
  • Kitchen sink and tap descaled
  • Cupboard doors wiped on the outside
  • Cooker hood and microwave wiped on the outside
  • Clear surfaces wiped
  • Floor vacuumed and washed

Bathroom and toilet

  • Shower, tiles, mirror and fittings descaled
  • Toilet cleaned and descaled – inside and out
  • Clear surfaces wiped
  • Floor vacuumed and washed

Living room, bedrooms and hall

  • Dust wiped from all horizontal and clear surfaces
  • Dirt and marks removed from doors, door frames and window frames
  • Door handles and light switches wiped in every room
  • Mirrors polished
  • Rugs vacuumed
  • Floors vacuumed and washed in every room

Not included

  • Tidying toys and clothes on floors, tables and shelves
  • Window cleaning and washing walls
  • Cleaning inside cupboards and drawers
  • Cleaning furniture and upholstery
  • Removing mould

We don't tidy up or move things, and we don't clean under things left out. The more clear surfaces, the more thorough the result – so a quick tidy before we come gives you the most cleaning for your money.

Add-ons, when you want a little more

Some tasks can be added to your regular visit at a fixed price – e.g. oven, fridge, dishwasher, folding laundry and changing bed linen. You can have them at every visit or just now and then – if, say, you only need the oven cleaned a couple of times a year, you book it for that one visit. See all add-ons and prices under Prices.

What we use

Cleaning products and equipment are included in the hourly rate – you don't need to buy anything.

  • Fragrance-free, Nordic Swan Ecolabel products – safe for both children and pets.
  • Microfibre cloths, which pick up dust and dirt far better than ordinary cloths.
  • A vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter, which holds on to fine dust, pollen and pet hair instead of blowing them back into the room.
  • Colour-coded cloths: pink for the toilet, blue for the kitchen and green for the bathroom and other surfaces – so dirt is never moved from one place to another.
  • The products stay with you in a mop bucket – they don't move from home to home.

If something isn't right

We have a satisfaction guarantee. If you find a specific fault, email us a photo – we'll come back and fix it, free of charge. If you'd just like something done differently, tell us and we'll do it from the next visit.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to tidy up before you come?

It isn't required. But we don't tidy up or clean under things left out – so the more is cleared away, the more we can clean in the agreed time.

Do I need to be at home?

No, it's up to you. You can let us in, use a key box or give us a key at the first visit, which we keep safely – with no name or address on it.

Can you do something that isn't on the list?

Write to us and we'll work it out. Regular extra tasks are agreed at the free check.

Do you clean the same way every time?

Yes. We follow the cleaning plan agreed with you, and the same person comes every time.

Shall we make your cleaning plan?

Get an estimate in a few minutes and book a free check – then we go through the plan together.
